Beer and art, what a fabulous combination!
Who doesn’t love beer and art? I’m a huge fan of small microbreweries. Not to sound like a beer snob, but I prefer the unique taste of a micro-brew than the taste of a Miller or Corona on a warm LA day. I also have a love and appreciation for art. So you could probably guess my excitement when I found out about a place that showcases great art and serves amazing beer for five dollars a pint.

Pioneered by “Brew Master” Michael Bowe, Angel City Brewery has been a part of the LA arts district since 1988. In that time span they have created 13 distinctive beers that have satisfied the taste buds of Angelinos. My personal favorite is the Angel City “Che.” It has a unique banana flavor that any beer lover (or banana lover) will dig.

Recently, Angel City has added art to the mix. They’ve been inviting to local and international artist to showcase their work on the brewery walls. Like their flavorful beers, the works of art rotate so each time you visit your eyes get a surprise. In short, this is a super-cool arts district spot where you can grab a unique beer in a unique atmosphere. An LA must!
