Hidden in LA’s Little Tokyo district is a small sushi gem called Zip Fusion Sushi. Described as “unique Asian-California fusion with soul,” Zip fusion serves up some of the best sushi LA has to offer.

Much like its artsy neighborhood, Zip’s trendy interior provides a unique experience for any beginner or veteran to the sushi game. The ultra-hip patio is great for big parties to toss back some sake bombs or chow down on some great food. Or, hey, do both! That’s my kind of party.
Zip offers a great all you can eat sushi deal for $19. If you get a large bottle of Hite beer, it’ll be cut to $16. The only downside to this is you have to sit at the sushi bar to get the deal and you can only eat for an hour. So I recommend arriving early or after the dinner rush.

The all you can eat sushi offers a superb menu that features appetizers, rolls, sashimi and sushi. If you are new to the sushi world take it slow and order a California roll or, my personal favorite, the rainbow roll. These two pretty simple rolls are sure to please any palette. If you are a seasoned veteran I suggest you opt for the albacore and unagi. Both are pretty tasty and I guarantee you’ll be ordering more. Zip also has other great items on its menu such as spicy calamari and its award winning seaweed salad. Um, yum.

I don’t know about you but I’m craving sushi right about now. So if you find yourself in LA’s art district on a Friday night, pop into Zip Fusion and have yourself some yummy sushi. And, if you’re game, have a shot with me.
