Oh what a day! It’s my last full day in Philadelphia and I made the best of every minute.
I’m beat and I have to drive the treacherous turnpike tomorrow all by my lonesome… boo hoo. But for now let’s focus on the positives, this was a bitchin’ day that had me criss-crossing the City of Brotherly Love all day long.
Record of Today’s Accomplishments:
-My pal Igor and I drank coffee and ate Chinese food while carrying on intelligent conversation for hours. Pssh…that’s probably a better start to the day than most people had. It was delicious and stimulating.
-My friend Sarah treated me to a new tattoo, now we match! I got inked up at No Ka Oi on 4th Street by the lovely Alice White. I’ve always wanted to get tattooed by a female, mission accomplished.

-I spent a chunk of the afternoon hanging out at my friend Heather’s house while she colored Sarah’s hair. Girl talk!
-I met up with the wonderful Robert Perry at the POPE for a drink. We had a great conversation and tasty drinks. Plus it was nice to see my other co-workers again and say goodbye…
-Tosh treated me to a friend date at my favorite spot, Bar Ferdinand. We ate from the Chef’s tasting menu as well as a few other things. I ate until I couldn’t fit anymore in. So so so so delicious, such an awesome treat.

-I headed down to JR’s Bar in (super) South Philly to see my friend’s from PGH the Test Patterns in one of their final performances. They didn’t think they sounded good but I thought the show was awesome.
-After the show I once again headed back to PYT to pick up Igor. We then drank a collection of silly beers until the wee hours of the morning. For sure a fitting end to a silly week.
I love my friends. I love PHILADELPHIA.
(I don’t want to drive to PGH tomorrow…urgh!)
