Pin Up Girls: A Collection

This is a tribute to the pin up girls and vintage pinup girl models of years past. These illustrations were meant to be "pinned-up" and put on display...

The artform can be traced back to the 1890s, though many of the images below and durning the height of the Pin up girl popularity are from the 1940s, 50s and beyond. The girls are generally glamour models, fashionistas and actresses from the time period. Below are some famous works from Edward D' Ancona, Alberto Vargas and Bill Randall. Enjoy!

After he opened his first studio in Chicago in 1926, his burgeoning client list came to include such companies as Marshall Field's (catalogue front covers) and Atlas Beer (billboards, newspaper ads, and window display art)."
