When you read or hear the authors names, Hunter S. Thompson (The father of Gonzo Journalism), Ernest Hemmingway and William Burroughs what do you think of? Fear and Loathing, Farewell to Arms, maybe Naked Lunch?
Maybe just a whole lot of whiskey and drugs but that's not all. These guys were known for there counterculture spirit and independent lifestyle, but who knew that they also loved their guns? (Well maybe Hemmingway's wife Mary) Hemmingway and Thompson both shot themselves and Burroughs shot his wife (maybe they should have picked up another pen but I'm not sure that is mightier than the gun). Yes it's tragic,but the pictures don't lie, these guys allowed no one to define who they were or how they led their lives, but it's possible they should have listened to a firearms safety instructor.
